About Me

My name is Wendy Dragmen and I love teaching first grade! This year will be my 20th year teaching. I earned my elementary education degree from John Carroll University and I am licensed to teach first through eighth grade. I first taught sixth grade at St. Christine Elementary. While working in the Willoughby-Eastlake School District, I taught science and math at Eastlake Middle School, then moved to Grant Elementary where I taught first grade for eight years. After taking time to raise my children, I returned to the classroom. This is my seventh year teaching first grade at St. Barnabas.

I am a parishoner at Our Lady of Guadalupe and love living in the community where I teach. I enjoy reading, traveling, and hiking. I am married to Tom and have two children. My husband works in the software industry. Ben is a sophmore at Archbishop Hoban this year, and Leah is in eighth grade at St. Barnabas. My family enjoys vacationing at National Parks during the summer.

My classroom is tailored to help students develop into faith-filled, educated, and responsible people who contribute to the world around them. I do this by incorporating a love of God and others into our daily routines along with a zest for learning. Our days are filled with direct instruction, group work, guided discovery, problem solving, and hands on activities to help students become life long learners.
